Country is in an upheaval

Everyone is upset

Half the country protesting

The others wanting justice;

some of my best friends are illegal

all you can do is put it in God’s hands

All I know is you can’t get in the way

Don’t put your car in the way

and expect them to go away

Some have been here most their lives

They have family, kids and wives

they work hard to no avail

no chance for pensions or retirement

so they kick it on their own

no healthcare when they need it

but . . .

Most pay taxes like the rest

work long 10 or 12-hour days

Have hopes and dreams like us all

Have faith in God and Jesus like the rest

treat others like they would want to be treated

but yet they feel less than the rest

We all Know the government ain’t fair

from COVID to Pharma; they rake it all in

They don’t care if you live or die

as long as you pay you share

so they can send it everywhere

and line their pockets and watch as we despair

they will shoot you and go away

it will be a bad day so leave it in the hands of the Lord

It’s your right to protest, but not to impede

so do it in a way that will help others succeed
